Maria Marta Pocztar

Maria Marta Pocztar Age 77, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026. She was born on July 16, 1948, in Germany, and spent most of her life in Parma, Ohio, where she built a life rooted in family, faith, and generosity. Maria was first married to Roman Pocztar, who preceded her in death. From that marriage, she was blessed with two children, Roman (Katie) and Yuri. She later married Tony Lendel, and together they welcomed a daughter, Anya (Jason). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Camilla, Karsyn, and Beckham, who brought her great joy. She was also a beloved sister to Orest Harkacz (Jeanne).

Maria dedicated many years to her career as a teacher, touching countless lives with her patience and care. She loved reading and generously gave her time volunteering at her church. Guided by her faith, Maria lived a life of kindness, loyalty, and service to others. She now rests in the peace of the Lord, embraced by God’s eternal love and reunited with loved ones who went before her.

Family and Friends are invited to a Funeral Service on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Church 7700 Hoertz Rd. Parma, OH 44134. Inurnment St. Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
