Eugenia Konyk

Mrs. Eugenia Konyk, age 89, of Parma OH, peacefully passed away September 27th, 2025 at her residence, surrounded by loved ones. Born on February 20th 1936, in Ukraine, she devoted her life to family, faith, and her business. Eugenia (Genie) was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated over 50 years as the owner of Konyk’s tavern to her beloved customers. She enjoyed knitting for her grandchildren, gardening, and going for long walks. She is survived by her children, Mariyka (Taras) Drozd , Myron (Deborah) Konyk, Irene (George) Ochrin; six grandchildren, Olena (Bohdan), Lesia (Michael), Christina (Matthew), Nadia, Deanna, and Yashca; and five great-grandchildren; Christian, Yerema, Ksenya, Alexandra, and Olivia. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lawrenty Konyk.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 5-8 P.M. (PARASTAS 6:30 PM) at Kozij-Lazuta Funeral Home, 5677 State Rd. Parma, OH 44134. Funeral service Friday, October 3 at 11 A.M. at St. Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Church. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH) Interment St. Andrew Cemetery.
