Donald Paul Behl III

Donald Paul Behl III passed away at home on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Known by his family as Donny, he was born on June 22, 1977 in Parma, Ohio, graduated from Strongsville High School in 1995, and received technical training at Polaris Career Center. He was an exceptionally skilled carpenter, and many continue to admire the carefully crafted work he brought to numerous homes and outdoor projects. Don took great pride in the remodeling of both his cousin’s 1920s home and his parents' residence. His family is proud and grateful for the care he took with these projects.

Like his father, Don was a lifelong motorsports enthusiast who aspired to continue his father's dreams of designing, building, and racing cars. His family cherishes the many happy memories created together on holidays and birthdays, particularly on Hearthstone Road and at his childhood home in Strongsville. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and the many funny sayings that his friends still use today.

Donny was the beloved older brother of Diana (Andrew Kosten) and Michael Behl; cherished nephew of Carla Behl Maurer (James), Mary Ellen Zeleniuch, and Zenon and Anne Zeleniuch; loved dearly by his cousins Christina, Stefan, Michael (Ali), Alexander, and Nicholas Zeleniuch, and Heather Maurer. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary Ann and Donald P. Behl II; Uncle Peter Zeleniuch; grandparents Stefan and Magdalena Zeleniuch, and Helen and Donald P. Behl I.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 5 PM - 8PM (Parastas 7 PM) at Kozij-Lazuta Funeral Home 5677 State Rd. Parma, OH 44134. Inurnment Private.
